Elite Dairy Services provides a safe, efficient, and reliable portable crate disbudding service, allowing the procedure to be carried out on-farm with minimal disruption to your calf-rearing programme.
Our certified technicians are authorised to disbud following all New Zealand animal welfare regulations and industry best-practice standards. Each calf receives appropriate local anaesthetic before hot-iron disbudding is carried out. We do not use sedation, allowing calves to remain bright, continue feeding normally, and avoid the after-effects associated with sedatives.
Our portable crate system makes paddock disbudding a practical option reducing unnecessary handling and stress. Process maintains a safe working environment for both calves and operators.
